CHILD WELFARE COUNSELLING

We offer social work support and counselling services to individual, youth, families, parents, caregivers, and groups on child welfare through Anti-Oppressive Policy (AOP) framework and Critical Race Theory (CRT) approaches.

Our consultative services increase parents’ capacities to resolve conflicts with children and develop their skills to reduce the risks of child maltreatment, child abuse, and child neglect in the family.

We also work with two-parent families, blended families, single parents, grandparents, foster parents, caregivers and extended family members for the safety and well-being of children, youth, adults, and families.

Services include:

  • Child protection, risk assessment and well-being
  • Family conflicts, domestic violence, and youth at risk issues
  • Child maltreatment, child abuse, and child neglect
  • Parent-children relationships
  • Parenting issues
  • Critical behavioural issues
  • Caregiving, and family support services
